Billy Hopkins, 6-4, established a fine reputation as a NDSD/Crary player in 1990-91 and a NDSD/Starkweather player in 1991-94. His field goal average was 50%. As a senior, he was named to All District 5, Ramsey County, and Lake Region teams and First-Team All-American among U.S. Schools for the Deaf. He also was selected to the Lake to Border All Conference Team. Track events – discus, 200 meter dash and relays.
