Julius Sayler was the fifth NDSD player to score over 1,000 points while playing for the NDSD Bulldogs. Sayler ranked second in rebounding average (10.9) and third in total rebounds (821). Sayler made the All-Ramsey County, All-District Tournament teams and Frat All-American Second Team in 1980. He was a Ramsey County Free Throw Champion in 1979. He hit on 22 consecutive free throws in the last three games of 1980. He also starred in track in the 110 high and 300 intermediate hurdles and in the javelin and long jump events.
