Renae Sagstuen Myers, a standout sprinter on the 1964-68 girls track teams, was the first NDSD girl to qualify for and compete at the State Track Meet in an individual event. She placed fourth in the 220-yard dash at the 1967 State Meet. She also ran anchor on the girls 1967 District champion 440 relay team which went on to take sixth at the State Track Meet.
